About the Work: Pit Fire Series
My current exploration is refining the coil built forms and creating the coloration of the surface.
The current shapes echo one another as I reach for the most aesthetically pleasingly proportions. These shapes provide a controlled blank canvas for the pit and saagar firings wild and unpredictable surface variations. I like my work to be a play between control and chaos.

About the Work: Tile Series
All the images on my tiles are from my own drawings and silkscreens. I use the silkscreen to print the images directly onto the clay. I love the natural beauty of organic edges and raw clay. Having this as a canvas allows the simplicity of the image to lead.
